This morning, our journey takes us to the attractive town of Trento. See the Piazza del Duomo – once used by the Romans as their forum – or Market Square, where a Baroque fountain of Neptune now stands in the middle. To get into the festive spirit and perhaps pick up some last minute gifts, visit the Christmas market in Piazza Fiera.
This afternoon, why not join our optional ‘Taste of Italy’ excursion? We make our way to a cantina where the method of producing wine will be explained and, of course, you will be able to sample some of their famous produce.

Join our included excursion to the second largest city in the Veneto region, Verona. This beautiful Roman city is situated alongside the River Adige. To introduce you to the city’s array of spectacular sights, why not join our optional guided walking tour? The many historic buildings, the mighty Roman Arena famous for its summer opera performances, and Juliet’s balcony make it a lovely place to explore on foot, and our local guide's informative commentary will reveal the history of this magnificent city.
You will also have time to browse the shops or take a coffee break in one of the many cafés in Piazza Bra, overlooking the Arena.
This afternoon, we return to Riva for free time before a gala dinner, followed by live music.

Today, enjoy a wonderful optional excursion to the unique city of Venice, the largest city in the Veneto area. This city mixes Byzantine and Renaissance architecture throughout the 118 islands; the magnificent buildings – surrounded by bridges and canals – are a sign of the city’s former wealth. There are many spectacular sights to see, including the Bridge of Sighs, St. Mark’s Square and the Doge's Palace.
During your visit to Venice, don’t forget to try a gondola ride. The official price is €80 per gondola for a 50 minute ride, but this can vary depending on the gondolier, the time of day, and whether singing is required. Be prepared to barter a little!To make the most of your visit to this wonderful city, we recommend you join our optional lagoon cruise around part of the Venetian Lagoon.

We head to our overnight hotel in northern France or Belgium.
If you are leaving the tour in Europe, you will say farewell to the group after breakfast this morning. If you joined the tour in the UK, today you will return and continue to your original joining point.

If you prefer, then you can join the tour at the hotel. To do this, we will require a copy of your passport for identification purposes and you must advise us at the time of booking.
No reduction will be given if you should choose to do this.
We are unable to guarantee that the hotel will be able to meet your dietary requirements. We find that the majority of European countries do not generally cater for vegetarians and that the meal supplied may well be what everyone else is having minus the meat.
We will of course endeavour to arrange for a vegetarian meal at the hotel. We do however suggest that you advise us of your dietary requests at the time of booking and recommend that you speak to the receptionist on arrival with regard to your request.
Silver Service departure will stay for five nights at at the 4-star Hotel Oasi in Riva del Garda.
Luxuria departure will stay for five nights at the 4-star Hotel Sole, or similar.
All hotels are situated in the heart of the resort, and within walking distance of the lake.
Overnight stays in northern France/Belgium will be in city-style hotels.
Front row seats can be reserved for $35pp (up to 6 days' duration), $55pp (7 & 8 days' duration) and $60pp (9 days' duration and over) on all European tours. This offer is only available for bookings of two or four persons on the front row and is subject to availability. In addition to this, seats on the second row can be reserved for $18pp (up to 6 days duration), $35pp (7 & 8 days duration) and $42pp (9, 10 and days duration) $50pp (12 days and over). Guaranteed front/second row seats cannot be reserved on transfer journeys to/from the interchange. Children under 15 years cannot occupy a front row seat due to French Law. Central view seats are free.
Please note: On some coaches the legroom on front seats may be slightly less than that available on other seats due to the presence of a modesty board in front.
If your tour is cancelled for any reason and front/second row seats are not available on your new tour, you will be refunded the supplement. No other compensation will be payable.
Alternatively, we can take seating requests on your booking. However, requests are not guaranteed. All seat numbers are confirmed on travel documents approximately 7-10 days prior to departure.
Transfer coaches are routed approximately 2-3 weeks before departure. The route taken depends on where passengers are booked to travel from on any particular date as to which route is taken. If you require further detailed information regarding the route to the port you can contact our Customer Service Department on 1300 811 500 two weeks before you are due to travel. With regard to the route taken by the main tour coach, this is determined by the driver.
