Enniskillen & Lough Erne
Today we enjoy an included excursion to the bustling town of Enniskillen, superbly situated between the upper and lower Lough Erne.
See the Buttermarket, the impressive castle, home to a fascinating heritage centre, and explore the winding streets lined with shops selling traditional Irish goods. Relax in one of the many cafés or bars dotted about the town and soak up the unique and charming Irish atmosphere.
We continue with a scenic drive of the Lakelands, alive with myth and legend. Where glistening waters and lush green landscapes frame this stunning picture-postcard scene.
Whilst in the Lakelands, why not enjoy a cruise on Lough Erne, the jewel in Fermanagh’s crown with endless peaceful waters dotted with green wooded islands, including Devenish Island.Included meals : Breakfast, Dinner
Lough Oughter & Ulster American Folk Park
Today’s included excursion takes us on another scenic journey as we see more of the beautiful lakelands, and pass tranquil Lough Oughter and the village of Killashandra.
We then head into Northern Ireland to the Ulster American Folk Park, an award-winning museum that brings three centuries of Irish emigration to life.
Costumed re-enactments, themed exhibits and traditional crafts portray the the epic story, as you walk in the footsteps of those who emigrated from Ulster to America in the 18th and 19th centuries.Included meals : Breakfast, Dinner
Free Time or Giant's Causeway
A day of fantastic scenery on our optional excursion as we head to the world-famous Giant’s Causeway with its basalt columns.
Long associated with legendary Irish giant Finn McCool, its basalt columns, which rise like stepping stones from the sea, were formed after a volcanic eruption 60-million years ago. Entrance is approx. £9 and payable locally.
You can visit the new visitor centre, and then either walk to the Causeway (approximately ½ mile), or take the local shuttle bus, at small additional costIncluded meals : Breakfast, Dinner
We head to Dublin. Join our optional sightseeing tour, which will take in the main sights.
The first thing you notice is the wealth of elegant Georgian architecture, notably in Fitzwilliam and Merrion Squares.
The city is divided by the River Liffey, crossed by numerous bridges, including the Ha’penny Bridge. You’ll find plenty to see and do in Dublin’s Fair City! We stay overnight in the Dublin area.Included meals : Breakfast
