For your convenience, you may choose to start this tour in the UK or at the first city in Europe.
We visit Plymouth, known as Britain’s Ocean City, and home to one of Europe’s most vibrant waterfronts. Discover its fascinating maritime history, such as its connections with Sir Frances Drake and the Spanish Amada, to the Mayflower sailing in 1620. Alternatively, enjoy its modern and cosmopolitan culture with trendy shops and bars, or visit the Barbican for quaint cobbled streets and a picturesque harbour.
Whilst here, we take a delightful cruise around the harbour – there's no better way to see this city than from the sea that shaped it!
Relax in Paignton and admire the beach front or many green parks in the town, or browse the delightful shops. You may wish to take a trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway which runs on an old Great Western Railway branch line between Paignton and Kingswear.
Alternatively, why not join our optional excursion to Totnes, a historic market town on the banks of the River Dart?
